Hummus means chickpeas, an Arabic word and one of the popular and famous appetizers in Arab countries and the Middle East. The history of cooking this dish goes back to countries where chickpeas were the basis of their cooking, such as Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and Egypt. The simple cooking of this light and delicious dish is one of the factors that have increased its popularity in recent years;

Because today's busyness has made the time people spend cooking food shorter and the popularity of fast-prepared foods has increased. The popularity and increase in fast food consumption in recent years also shows people's need for ready meals. However, due to the use

of low-quality raw materials such as sausage, sausage and saturated and trans oils in fast foods, nutritionists and doctors always recommend to minimize the consumption of ready meals in families.

Therefore, due to the use of healthy raw materials, short preparation time and low cost, hommus is one of the foods that can be included in the diet of families. Hummus can be a choice for a light dinner, a nutritious snack for children, and a healthy breakfast. It can also be served with fresh vegetables or fried pita bread as a dip.

Peas & Chickpeas

Arde alone is a complete food item for all meals, especially breakfast, which is obtained from roasted and ground sesame without skin, preserving all its nutritional properties and without any additives or thermal processes.

Research has shown that hummus contains vitamins and minerals such as manganese, copper, folate, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, vitamin B and potassium. This Mediterranean appetizer contains fiber and polyunsaturated fatty acids and therefore can be a suitable option to meet the needs of the body, especially for vegetarians and vegans.

Ingredients:

  • Raw material

  • 250 grams of cooked chickpeas

  • 10-12 tablespoons of eagle flour

  • 10 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice

  • A quarter cup of olive oil

  • 3 to 5 cloves of fresh garlic

  • 2 teaspoons of paprika

  • Salt and red pepper as needed

Recipe:

In the first step, cook the chickpeas, extract the water, and then pour it into a blender until it is completely pureed; in such a way that no piece can be seen in it.

Then pound garlic and salt inside the mortar to release its flavor well.

At this stage, thoroughly mix the eagle's duck with lemon juice, pepper and olive oil and add garlic and salt to it until it is a uniform mixture. If you feel that its texture is dry, you can add a little pea water to make its texture a little softer.

Then pour the flour into the crushed chickpeas and mix them thoroughly to get a thick and puree-like mixture. Finally, pour paprika on it and serve the hummus. If you want, you can put the hummus in the refrigerator before serving it so that it sets a bit.
